ACB traps deputy executive engineer of Musheerabad division in ₹10,000 bribe case
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in India has arrested a Deputy Executive Engineer and a Sub-Registrar in separate bribery cases. Both officials were caught allegedly demanding or accepting bribes for official services and are currently facing judicial remand.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Deputy Executive Engineer of the Quality Control Cell, Musheerabad Division, allegedly accepting a ₹10,000 bribe for issuing quality control certificates for contract works.
The accused officer, Sai Ram, was caught red-handed by ACB officials of City Range-1 after he allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant for the already issued quality control certificate for one contract work and for issuing a certificate for a second contract work.
The amount of ₹10,000 was recovered from Sai Ram at his instance, the ACB said. The agency alleged that he had acted improperly and dishonestly in the discharge of his duties to obtain undue advantage.
He was being produced before the I Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally for judicial remand. The case is under investigation.
