The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Mysuru, has strongly opposed the proposal to convert the PM SHRI Experimental School on the Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Mysuru, campus into a Kendriya Vidyalaya.

The Parishad submitted a memorandum to the Director of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) through the RIE Principal, urging the authorities to reconsider the proposal.

In a statement, the Parishad said the PM SHRI Experimental School serves as an important platform for teacher training, demonstrating innovative teaching methods, educational experimentation and research activities.
