at 6:00 a.m. Last Updated: October 11, 2026 at 3:07 p.m. Goaltender Jacob Fowler made 30 saves for the Canadiens (2-2-1) in a 1-0 shootout win over the Detroit Red Wings (1-3-1) on Saturday night at the Bell Centre to snap a three-game losing skid.

But first, Canadiens fans at the Bell Centre sent management a message by chanting “We want Larkin” after the opening puck drop. Former Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has asked for a trade out of Detroit, but so far has a short list of teams he’ll accept a trade to. Reportedly, Montreal isn’t on it. At the end of the night, the fans booed Larkin as he failed to beat Fowler in the shootout.
