Abhishek Sharma hits fastest T20I century by an Indian, breaks Rohit Sharma's record
NEW DELHI: Abhishek Sharma set the Arun Jaitley Stadium alight on Thursday, smashing the fastest century by an Indian in men's T20 internationals during the third T20I against Afghanistan.Abhishek reached his hundred in just 30 balls, breaking Rohit Sharma's previous Indian record of a 35-ball century in the format.The left-handed opener clobbered 10 sixes and nine fours in a whirlwind knock to break former captain Rohit Sharma’s record of scoring the fastest T20I century, which he had recorded against Sri Lanka in December 2017.Abhishek’s century was also the fastest for any batter against a Test playing nation.
