Member of Parliament for Atiwa East Abena Osei-Asare has supported 200 students from the constituency who gained admission to senior high school with essential supplies and cash assistance to ease the financial burden on their families.

The beneficiaries each received a trunk, chop box, mattress, provisions and cash during a ceremony attended by parents and guardians.

Osei-Asare urged the students to remain disciplined and committed to their education, saying they represented the future human capital and leadership of the constituency.

“Free SHS remains an important legacy that has been bequeathed to the NDC government,” Osei-Asare said, urging the government and relevant stakeholders to ensure the programme was managed effectively and to find lasting solutions to the placement difficulties.
