“ This information is inaccurate — any reports about the future of the show at this point are purely speculative,” an ABC Entertainment spokesperson told Us Weekly.
The network’s clarification comes after multiple media outlets reported Kimmel’s late night show would wrap after its 24th season, which premiered on ABC Tuesday night.
Sources told TMZ that Kimmel, who has a year-to-year deal with ABC, has been shopping other projects as of late, including a podcast in addition to other shows. The news also follows a recent interview with Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney, who opened up about his eventual retirement during an episode of Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert.”
