The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday (September 2, 2026)continued to attack the BJP government over the alleged bicycle scam and distributed pamphlets outside girls’ schools in every ward of Delhi, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Ashish Sood, according to the party.
The party also “celebrated” Mr. Sood’s birthday outside Swami Nagar Government Girls School with the students, with an AAP worker wearing a mask of Ashish Sood cutting the cake, while pamphlets were distributed to students and their parents during school dispersal, explaining how poor-quality bicycles were allegedly purchased at inflated prices.
The AAP has been alleging that the Delhi government bought 1.3 lakh bicycles under a government scheme at “exaggerated” rates. The party also alleged that tender conditions were tailored for specific companies and demanded the resignation of Education Minister Ashish Sood.
