FATEHGARH SAHIB: Police have booked a Tarn Taran woman and five relatives for allegedly duping Aam Aadmi Party functionary Amarinder Singh Mandofal into marriage by posing as a Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officer and concealing her previous marriage.Mandofal (33), AAP Punjab joint secretary, Zila Parishad member and Sirhind Market Committee chairman, married the woman on Feb 10. Punjab Assembly Speaker and senior AAP leaders, including a cabinet minister, attended the ceremony.According to the FIR, the woman claimed to be an executive PCS officer posted in Jalandhar and later said she had been given charge as additional deputy commissioner in Mohali. She allegedly sent forged govt deployment orders and maintained an Instagram profile identifying herself as a PCS officer.Police said her family allegedly claimed to own 40 acres in Tarn Taran and falsely said both her parents were dead.
