The Delhi Police have registered an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj and Jarnail Singh, along with other party workers, for assaulting a head constable who was recording the proceedings during AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Tilak Nagar on Monday (September 28, 2026).
According to the police, the head constable was recording the proceedings when he was allegedly surrounded by a group of AAP supporters. He was subsequently assaulted, police said.
The policeman underwent a medical examination following the incident and is stated to be stable.
The FIR has been registered under Sections 221 (voluntarily obstructing a public servant in the discharge of public functions), 132 (assault or use of criminal force against a public servant while they are discharging their duty) and 115 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
