Tamil Nadu Minister for Public Works Aadhav Arjuna on Monday said a probe will be conducted soon into what he described as alleged horse trading by the DMK “by illegally confining Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MLAs in a hotel” before the formation of the TVK government.
The Minister made the remarks against the backdrop of the recent controversy triggered by IUML MLA Syed Farooq Basha, who had a party meeting held in Tiruvannamalai on Saturday, alleged that after the Assembly election, some persons approached him and another IUML MLA, offering them crores of rupees to join their side.
On Monday, speaking in the Assembly, Mr Basha claimed his comments were being distorted by the opposition DMK.
