SRINAGAR: Ladakh lieutenant governor VK Saxena announced Sunday Rs 15 lakh compensation for the next of kin of each of the four protesters killed in police firing during violent protests in Leh on Sept 24 last year.The firing left around 90 protesters wounded as demonstrations demanding statehood and constitutional safeguards under Schedule Six for the Union territory turned violent.
