But there are things we'd do differently — and some might surprise you. When my husband and I moved from Connecticut to Spain in August of 2025 with our two young sons, we'd never even been to Spain before. We were seeking a different kind of life for our family. One that was healthier, slower, and more connected. One that offered better work-life balance , more travel, and the chance to actually see the world with our kids while they were still young enough to soak it all in.
