A venomous snake fell into a chemical-filled industrial tank; it was revived with a CPR

A five-foot-long snake was revived after it was found unconscious inside a tank containing chemical-filled water at an industrial unit in Gujarat’s Vapi. An animal rescuer reportedly performed artificial respiration on the reptile for nearly two minutes before it began showing signs of recovery.The incident took place on Friday at an effluent treatment plant (ETP) at India Gelatine Company Limited (IGCL) in the first phase of Vapi GIDC in Valsad district.According to local reports, the snake had entered the industrial premises and accidentally fallen into a tank containing chemically contaminated water. It was found unconscious after apparently coming into contact with and ingesting the water.Company officials then contacted animal welfare volunteer and snake rescuer Sanjay Pawar.Snake found unconscious in chemical waterPawar reached the spot and removed the snake from the tank. The reptile was reportedly unresponsive at the time.
