A.P. Teacher Eligibility Test to begin on August 5

The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) 2026 is scheduled to take place from August 5 to August 16 across 103 centers. Over 200,000 candidates are expected to participate in the computer-based examination held in multiple sessions.

The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) 2026 examinations will be conducted from August 5 to August 16, 2026, in 22 sessions through the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, said exam convenor M. Venkata Krishna Reddy.
In a statement on Tuesday (August 4), Mr. Krishna Reddy said a total of 103 examination centres had been set up for conducting the test. Of these, 91 centres were located in Andhra Pradesh and 12 centres had been established in the neighbouring States. The out-of-State centres include four in Telangana, three in Chennai (Tamil Nadu), two in Karnataka and three in Berhampur (Odisha).
Online applications for the APTET were accepted from June 5, 2026, to July 5, 2026. A total of 2,14,486 candidates submitted 2,38,252 applications. Among them, 74,711 in-service teachers submitted 84,798 applications.
