A.P. students bag four gold, 14 silver medals at national quantum computing course
Students from Andhra Pradesh achieved significant success in a national quantum computing course conducted by NPTEL, IIT Madras, and IBM Research. The state government aims to train one lakh quantum computing professionals to boost local employment in the sector.

Andhra Pradesh students have secured gold and silver medals at a national level quantum computing course conducted by the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), jointly undertaken by the IITs and IISc.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday met and congratulated the students who excelled in the four-week “Quantum Algorithms and Qiskit” course at the Secretariat.
At least six medal winners have already secured employment in quantum computing companies, including three students who have obtained jobs with a quantum computing company located at Meda Towers.
The course was conducted under the guidance of experts from IIT Madras and IBM Research. Of the students who won medals nationally, A.P. accounted for four gold and 14 silver medals, while students from other parts of the country secured four gold and 16 silver medals.
