A.P. positions north Andhra as a hub for AI, data centres, fintech and semiconductors

The Andhra Pradesh government is positioning the northern coastal region as a major industrial hub for AI, fintech, and semiconductor manufacturing. The state recently signed 31 MoUs worth ₹21,495 crore to foster economic growth and decentralization.

The regional CII industrial summits held in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday (October 7) highlighted that the Andhra Pradesh government has placed strong emphasis on futuristic sectors, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced data centres, fintech, and semiconductor manufacturing to drive industrial growth in North Coastal Andhra regions of —Srikakulam, Parvatipuram-Manyam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli and Alluri Sitharama Raju districts.
According to Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath, who led the summit said that the northern industrial belt is being systematically being developed as a high-tech knowledge and manufacturing hub.
“The State made a region specific investment presentation. The focus sectors for this region are AI, data centres, fintech and semiconductors,” said Mr. Bharath.
The regional summit—held as a precursor to the upcoming global partnership meet scheduled for November—resulted in the signing 31 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at ₹21,495 crore.
