A.P. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan calls for collective efforts to protect ozone layer

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Environment & Forests K. Pawan Kalyan said in a message on X on the occasion of World Ozone Day-2026 that the ozone layer was earth’s protective shield, which safeguards life from harmful ultraviolet radiation. He called for collective efforts to protect this vital layer and preserve the health of the planet.

The 2026 United Nations Environment Programme theme, ‘Global action for a cooler planet’, highlights the importance of collective action, sustainable cooling and continued global cooperation through the Montreal Protocol and its Kigali Amendment, he observed.
