Why it matters
Michelin recognition significantly impacts the local culinary economy and tourism in Vancouver.
In case you missed the news, the Michelin Guide dropped its 2026 restaurant selections last night , adding many new restaurants to the prestigious guide (including Vancouver’s first two-Michelin-star restaurant ). Among the winners, a new restaurant in the guide is located along Vancouver’s Michelin Mile.
For those not in the know, the Michelin Mile is a stretch along Main Street that is home to many Michelin-starred, Bib Gourmand (good quality food for good value), and Michelin-recommended restaurants. And as of last night, Jeju has joined the fray.
