London, October 4: Two valuable gifts of oriental interest to the College Library are announced by Dr. Cochrane, Chairman of the Governors of the Armstrong College, Newcastle. The first is a present by Lady Richmond of the Oriental Library by her sister Miss Gertrude Bell, and the second is a gift from the Nizam of Hyderabad of a thousand sterling for the purchase of books on India.
