A GTK4 SSH-askpass in Zig
A developer has created a custom SSH-askpass tool using the Zig programming language and GTK4 to avoid the heavy dependencies of existing solutions on Gentoo Linux. The tool provides a graphical passphrase prompt for SSH keys in environments lacking a terminal.

Every ssh-askpass in the Gentoo tree pulls in X11 or a full KDE stack, so I wrote my own with Zig 0.16 and GTK4 , with hand-written bindings that keep X out of the build.
