I have seen a lot of Dyson products before they hit the shelves. Hair tools, vacuums, air purifiers, headphones, you name it. But when I travelled to Dyson’s global headquarters in Singapore in June to get an early look at what the company had been doing in oral care, I was not prepared for what happened next. My jaw was on the floor. I watched the Dyson CameraJet in action, and for once, the phrase ‘revolutionary’ did not feel like an overstatement. The toothbrush has a camera and it uses machine learning to find the gaps between your teeth. Then, while you are brushing, it fires a precision jet of mouthrinse directly into those spaces. It sounds slightly futuristic because it is. And now, after months of having to keep what I saw under wraps, I can finally talk about it.
