The arrested man has been identified as Shyam Shashi (27) of Ernakulam.
He was taken into custody during a vehicle inspection jointly conducted by the DANSAF team and Peechi police as part of the ongoing ‘Operation Thufan’ anti-drug drive on Saturday.
The police said Shyam had previously worked as a bus cleaner and helper in Ernakulam city. For the past year, he had reportedly been working as a cleaner with a Bengaluru-based travel company.
