MUMBAI: A seven-year-old boy died after a brick column collapsed on him during a local Dahi Handi celebration in Malad West on Saturday afternoon, officials said.The incident was reported around 3.01pm at Ekta Welfare Society in Chikuwadi, Malvani, where a group of children were celebrating Dahi Handi on their own.According to civic officials, the rope used for the celebration had been tied to a tree and a brick column supporting a ground-floor structure.While the children were attempting to break the handi, the column gave way and fell on the boy, identified as Rudra Kadam, 7, causing a serious head injury.The injured child was…
