MUMBAI: The Mumbai Police have deployed more than 16,000 personnel, including seven additional police commissioners, 37 deputy commissioners of police and 52 assistant commissioners of police, to ensure the safe and peaceful celebration of Ganeshotsav across the city.The security arrangements include 2,650 police officers and 14,150 policemen, along with SRPF platoons, Quick Response Teams (QRT), Riot Control Teams and Home Guards at important locations.Special security arrangements have also been planned for the day of Ganesh idol immersion, with additional personnel being deployed for the occasion.The Mumbai Police have appealed to citizens to maintain restraint at crowded places…
