6-week-old Amish child died from measles, Lancaster County coroner confirms

A 6-week-old Amish girl with a neurological genetic disorder , Amish lethal microcephaly, died from measles at home in Lancaster County, Lancaster County coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said today.
The death marks the first confirmed to be from measles in Pennsylvania since 1991 and the first in the United States this year.
"I believe it was the 18th of August," Diamantoni said.
