6-month-old boy mauled by pit bull in Sonipat, CCTV captures terrifying attack

SONIPAT: A six-month-old boy was seriously injured after being attacked by a pet pit bull in Sonipat’s Sikka Colony on September 14. The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the dog lunging at the infant, pulling him from his aunt’s arms and dragging him along the roadside.According to the family, the child was in his aunt’s lap when the pit bull suddenly came out of a nearby house after its gate was opened. The dog attacked the woman and grabbed the infant, knocking him to the ground before dragging him by the jaw.The CCTV footage shows people in the vicinity rushing to the child’s rescue. A young man eventually intervened and managed to free the infant by holding the dog’s jaws. The dog reportedly released the child after around 30 seconds.The child’s grandmother, Nirmala Devi, said the infant suffered deep injuries to his face, mouth and hand.
