The accident occurred at around 3 am along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, with the injured passengers rushed to Londiani Hospital for treatment.
Images seen by Kenyans.co.ke showed the matatu extensively damaged, with its windscreen shattered, windows broken, and seats mangled following the collision.
Reports indicate that some of the passengers were travelling back home after attending a police graduation ceremony before the accident occurred.
