AGRA: A day after Congress workers while protesting against alleged manipulation of voter lists had “defaced” the ancestral home of chief election commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar in Agra, a case was registered under BNS sections of “attempt to murder” and “rioting” and six party members were arrested and sent to jail on Tuesday.The protesters had allegedly scrawled abusive messages in Hindi aimed at the CEC. They had also demanded his immediate removal from office.Police later removed the graffiti. Monday’s protest was part of the party’s nationwide stir.
