6.32 lakh adults appear for ULLAS literacy assessment in Telangana
Over 630,000 adults in Telangana participated in the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test as part of the ULLAS program. The initiative aims to provide functional literacy to adults who missed formal schooling.

A total of 6.32 lakh adult learners appeared for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) conducted across Telangana on Sunday (September 28, 2026). Of them, 98,324 are self-help group (SHG) members and 720 are street vendors.
ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society), the New India Literacy Programme (NILP), seeks to provide adults aged 15 and above who missed formal schooling with functional literacy. The Adult Education Department coordinated the test.
