5x Faster Than Original Demo, 50% Perf Penalty on Average, But RTX 50 GPUs Offer "Hundreds of FPS" With MFG Enabled & More Optimizations On the Way

NVIDIA has released performance data for its RTX 50 series GPUs using DLSS 5 technology, highlighting significant frame rate improvements. The company clarified that developer-intended visuals remain a priority, despite the ability for users to mod settings.
Why it matters
Advancements in GPU technology and AI-driven upscaling are central to the evolution of high-end gaming and graphics performance.
NVIDIA is sharing the first performance figures of its RTX 50 GPUs running DLSS 5 , offering next-gen visuals at super-fast frame rates.
So the first game to use DLSS 5 is NBA 2K27 & NVIDIA is showcasing the first performance results of its GeForce RTX 50 GPUs across their target resolutions.
But first things first, unlike what you've been seeing online, the developers will have control over what they want to change and what they want to uplift in terms of visuals within the game. This is for games with native DLSS 5 support.
