52-year-old woman killed in elephant attack at Attappady in Keralam

A 52-year-old woman died in a wild elephant attack at Cheerakkadavu in Attappady, Palakkad, Keralam, on Tuesday evening. The deceased was Bushra, wife of Hamsa from Nayadikkunnu, Mannarkkad. She was visiting Attappady with her son Fasil.

According to the police, a wild elephant that crossed the Bhavani river from the Cheerakkadavu side attacked Bushra and her son. Bushra suffered serious injuries to her head in the attack.

She was taken to a private hospital at Kookkampalayam and later shifted to another private hospital at Vattambalam. She died while undergoing treatment there.
