‘₹50 crore modern infrastructure boost to MIMS’
The Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) is set to receive a ₹50 crore infrastructure upgrade to accommodate a growing student body and improve public healthcare. The project includes new student hostels, academic facilities, and a proposed trauma care center.

The Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) and its teaching hospital will soon be upgraded with modern infrastructure at an estimated cost of ₹50 crore to provide quality medical education to students and improved healthcare services to the public.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the officials on the inspection of MIMS and the teaching hospital by P. Ravikumar Gowda Ganiga, Mandya MLA, and the Deputy Commissioner of Mandya, Kumar, on Monday.
The need for expanding the infrastructure had arisen in the wake of the increasing number of students pursuing medical education at MIMS.
“In this regard, the MLA discussed with officials and engineers the construction of a student hostel equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, academic facilities and other basic amenities required to provide students with modern medical education.
