50:50 scheme sites: MLA Srivatsa urges govt. to set up Help Centre in MDA

MLA representing the Krishnaraja Assembly constituency in Mysuru T.S. Srivatsa has urged the government to establish a Help Centre at the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) to help the public check whether the sites in their possession were among those allotted under the now-cancelled 50:50 ratio scheme.
In a letter to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, a copy of which was also sent to the Secretary, Department of Urban Development, Government of Karnataka, Mr. Srivatsa welcomed the government’s decision to cancel the sites illegally allotted under the 50:50 ratio scheme.
Expressing his gratitude for the cancellation of the illegally allotted alternative sites under the scheme over the past few years and for initiating steps to cancel the sale deeds and khathas of such sites, Mr. Srivatsa said the list of sites so cancelled should also be made public through the government’s official website and leading newspapers.
