42 Aavin employees pledge donation of organs at health camp
Forty-two employees of the state-run dairy cooperative Aavin pledged to donate their organs during a health camp. The initiative was supported by local health authorities to raise awareness about the life-saving potential of organ donation.

A health and organ donation camp held on Tuesday saw 42 Aavin employees voluntarily sign up to donate their organs.
Organised under the direction of Collector Nishant Krishna, the camp drew an unexpectedly enthusiastic response from the staff, according to the Aavin General Manager Muthu Mathavan with over 90 employees benefiting from the medical checkups overall.
While S. Dileep Kumar, Madurai regional coordinator for the Transplant Authority of India (TRANSTAN), delivered an awareness session on organ donation, the GM noted that they were surprised by how readily the staff stepped forward to donate their organs.
