41 Canadian Links in Project Medusa

The RCMP says 41 Canadian-linked victims and suspected perpetrators have been identified through Project Medusa , a multinational law enforcement operation targeting online networks linked to drug-facilitated sexual assault.
“The project focuses on identifying and disrupting online networks linked to drug-facilitated sexual assault (DFSA), particularly offences occurring in intimate-partner settings and facilitated through online communities,” it said in an email to CTV News.
The RCMP also said that Canadian investigators are actively involved in the international initiative led by the United Kingdom and Germany, with support from Europol and participation from several partner countries.
“Project Medusa has generated significant international results, including the identification of 156 victims and perpetrators, the development of 274 new investigative leads, and the identification of four previously unknown online communities linked to this type of criminal activity,” it said.
