NEW DELHI: Delhi Police on Thursday said it had identified and blocked more than 400 Pakistani social media handles allegedly spreading misinformation and rumours amid the ongoing protests, urging people not to fall for fake content circulating online.Addressing the media, deputy commissioner of Police (DCP) Sumit Jha said the same social media accounts had also been active during Operation Sindoor and were now attempting to exploit the current situation to provoke people and distract students."We have noticed that some attempts are being made to spread misinformation on social media. So far, more than 400 Pakistani social media handles have been identified, which are taking advantage of this situation and spreading fake content and rumors. They are being blocked.
