40 farmers selected through balloting for mini dams in Chakwal, Talagang
The Punjab government has selected 40 farmers in the Chakwal and Talagang districts to receive subsidies for the construction of mini dams. This initiative is part of an agricultural transformation plan aimed at improving irrigation and increasing crop production in the Pothohar region.

Gujar khan - Forty farmers from Chakwal and Talagang districts were selected through a transparent balloting process for the construction of mini dams under the Agricultural Transformation Plan for the Pothohar region launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Shahab Aslam was the chief guest at the balloting ceremony.
Under the project, farmers will receive a 70 per cent government subsidy for the construction of mini dams. As many as 211 applications were received from Chakwal and Talagang districts, with 40 successful applicants selected through the draw.

The selected farmers include eight from Chakwal tehsil, seven from Kallar Kahar, 10 from Talagang and 15 from Lawa.
Speaking at the ceremony, ADC Revenue Muhammad Shahab Aslam said the development of agriculture and prosperity of farmers were among the top priorities of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
