40 designated parking slots in Vijayawada for Dasara devotees

The NTR Police Commissionerate has designated 40 parking lots in Vijayawada to manage traffic during the Dasara festival. Authorities have implemented digital tools like QR codes and the Astram App to guide devotees and ensure smooth traffic flow.
Why it matters
Effective traffic management is critical for public safety and crowd control during large-scale religious festivals in India.
The NTR Police Commissionerate has allotted 40 parking lots for devotees who are visiting the Kanaka Durga temple and attending the SARAS Mela to park their vehicles.
Parking places have been provided for the public visiting Vijayawada from Telangana, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Machilipatnam, Eluru, Guntur and other places.
Police will arrange signboards, and devotees can follow the QR Code and Astram App and park their vehicles in the parking places only.
On October 16, traffic will be regulated or diverted at Kummaripalem, Lodge outpost, Kanaka Durga flyover, Gadda Bomma centre and Old Police Control Room junction.
