37 arrested in anti-drug combing drive in Kochi

The Kochi City police claimed to have arrested 37 people and registered 34 cases in a special combing drive conducted as part of the anti-drug campaign. Raids were conducted at 153 locations on Saturday (October 10), the police said.
The raids focussed on locations suspected to be hotspots of drug consumption, as well as individuals allegedly involved in drug use and sale, and buildings suspected to be used for these activities. The police seized 13.83 grams of suspected MDMA and 91.84 grams of suspected ganja during the raids. Thirteen people were also apprehended for alleged ganja consumption, the police said.
