36 teachers from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi receive district-level Best Teacher Awards
Thirty-six teachers from the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts were honored with Best Teacher Awards during Teachers' Day celebrations. The event featured participation from local government ministers and members of parliament to recognize excellence in primary and high school education.

In all, 36 teachers received the Best Teacher Award during the district-level Teachers’ Day programmes held in Mangaluru and Udupi on Saturday. District In-charge Minister U.T. Khader took part in the programme in Mangaluru, while Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Member of Parliament Kota Srinivas Poojary attended the event in Udupi.
Seven teachers each from the lower primary, higher primary and high school sections received the award in Mangaluru.
In the lower primary section, assistant teacher Damodar from Government Lower Primary School (GLPS), Serkala, Bantwal; assistant teacher Chitraprabha from GLPS Mundrupady, Belthangady; assistant teacher Umalakshmi from GLPS Sand Pit, Mangaluru; assistant teacher Plavy Jascinta Miranda from Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School, Badriya Nagar, Mangaluru; assistant teacher Srivani from Government Higher Primary School (GHPS), Penjaru, Moodbidri; assistant teacher Malati from GLPS, Hostota, Puttur; and assistant teacher K. Yashoda from GLPS, Pandigadde, Sullia, received the award.
