At least 34 miners in Pakistan were killed and 10 other remained trapped after a methane gas explosion ripped through a coal mine in Balochistan province on Thursday, as officials told news agency AP.While rescuers continued a race against time to reach those still underground.The explosion took place on the outskirts of Quetta, the provincial capital, and was apparently triggered by a buildup of methane gas, according to government mine inspector Ghani Baloch.Rescue teams initially recovered the bodies of seven miners before locating 25 more, provincial officials and the disaster management agency said in a statement.
