A total of 30 autorickshaws were seized for violating Motor Vehicles Act during a joint check conducted by Madurai District Police and Regional Transport Officers on Monday.
A statement said that nine vehicles had violated the route permission and 21 autorickshaws were operated without insurance.
The RTO officials seized those vehicles for further action.
