PAGASA is monitoring three tropical depressions, including Tropical Depression Neneng, which is currently inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. While Neneng is not expected to make landfall in the Philippines, it is enhancing the southwest monsoon, bringing heavy rains to parts of Luzon.

PAGASA is monitoring Tropical Depression Neneng inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and two others outside the PAR.
Despite having no direct effect on the country, Neneng will enhance the southwest monsoon or "habagat."
Three tropical depressions are being monitored by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, Aug. 19, including Tropical Depression Neneng inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and two others outside the PAR. As of 4 a.m., Neneng was located 675 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
