HYDERABAD: Three students from the Telugu states, including one from Nizamabad, were killed in a road accident in Florida after their car rammed into a tree. The three were reportedly on their way to their workplaces, where they worked part-time jobs, when the accident occurred on Interstate 95 in Brevard County. The driver and the front-seat passenger died on the spot, while the third student, N Rahul of Navipet in Nizamabad district, who was seated in the rear, died while undergoing treatment at hospital. Rahul’s family was informed about the accident at around 3 am on Wednesday. The other two deceased were identified as Subramanyam Chaturvedula and G Anil. However, there was no further confirmation on where they hailed from.“All we want now is my son’s mortal remains to reach us at the earliest. They are not letting anyone go near him as the investigation is still ongoing. A Telugu association is helping us in the US, but we also hope the state govt steps in and ensures that my son’s body is brought back,” said Hari Babu, Rahul’s father.According to the family, Rahul had completed his master’s degree but stayed back in South Florida as he wanted to pursue a PhD. They said he was reluctant to return to India as he felt it would be difficult for him to return to the US due to a raft of changes being made to immigration laws.“He used to call us every other day. Even on the day of his accident, he was on the phone with his mother for a while and ended the call after his friends arrived to pick him up for work. That was his last call,” Rahul’s father added.Rahul had last come home three months ago to attend his sister’s wedding, it is learnt.Subramanyam and Anil are said to have been Rahul’s roommates. While one of them is said to be from Nalgonda, the other one is also from one of the Telugu states.According to sources, there was a fourth person in the car when the accident occurred, and he is currently in police custody. The details could not be independently verified. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Hyderabad | Silver Rate in Hyderabad | Bank Holidays in Hyderabad | Public Holidays in Hyderabad | Hyderabad AQI | Weather in Hyderabad | Petrol Price in Hyderabad | Diesel Price in Hyderabad | CNG Price in Hyderabad | LPG Price in HyderabadStay updated with the latest Hyderabad news.
