ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Polio Eradication Programme has announced a 28 per cent increase in the daily stipend for more than 400,000 campaign-based frontline polio workers, effective from the upcoming vaccination campaign scheduled for September 21 to 27.
According to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), the decision follows nationwide listening sessions during which frontline workers shared their concerns, suggestions and field experiences with senior programme leadership.
The upcoming Sub-National Immunization Days (SNID) campaign will be conducted in 115 districts across Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh, targeting more than 31 million children.
