27 Countries Converge on Nairobi for Solarexpo, Power & Energy 2026

Nairobi is set to host the Solarexpo, Power & Energy 2026 exhibition, bringing together over 250 exhibitors from 27 countries to discuss renewable energy and power infrastructure. The event aims to foster innovation and investment in the East African energy sector.
Why it matters
Large-scale energy exhibitions facilitate international trade and technology transfer, which are essential for the transition to sustainable power systems in emerging markets.
The exhibition gets underway from July 29 to 31, 2026 at the Carnivore Exhibition Grounds.
Held concurrently under one roof, the exhibitions will bring together global manufacturers, suppliers, investors and industry professionals, providing a major platform for business, innovation and collaboration in renewable energy, power generation, transmission and distribution.
Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi is expected to preside over the official opening ceremony as the chief guest.
The event is being held under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum through the State Department for Energy, and the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry through the State Department for Trade, underscoring the government's support for expanding investment in the country's energy sector.
Organisers say the exhibitions have grown into one of the region's most influential platforms for the solar and power industries, attracting participation from government agencies, professional associations and private sector players.
