27,531 pre-litigation cases settled in National Lok Adalat in Dharwad

As many as 27,531 pre-litigation cases were settled through compromise during the National Lok Adalat held in Dharwad district recently, according to a release issued by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA).

Of the 54,937 cases pending before various courts in the district, 3,908 cases were taken up for settlement at the Lok Adalat. Of these, 2,160 were settled.

In addition, 31,090 pre-litigation cases were taken up, of which 27,531 were settled through compromise. The total settlement amount in the pre-litigation cases was ₹29,11,872, while the amount involved in the settled court-pending cases was ₹48,50,60,531, the release said.
