A 25-year-old woman died after being run over by a bus when the two-wheeler on which she was travelling along with her husband skidded in Malakpet on Saturday (October 10).
The deceased was identified as B. Lavanya, a homemaker and resident of L.B. Nagar.
According to the Chaderghat police, Lavanya was travelling with her husband, B. Srikanth, on a two-wheeler from L.B. Nagar towards Chaderghat when the accident occurred around 3.50 p.m.
As they approached the D-Mart Signal in Malakpet, the two-wheeler, ridden by Srikanth, suddenly skidded, causing both of them to fall onto the road. Lavanya came under the rear tyre of a bus travelling along the same road. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
