25 suspected gang members arrested in Kitale

Crime scene Police have arrested 25 individuals suspected members of a criminal gang linked to a series of attacks on residents in Kitale and its neighbourhoods.

The suspects were apprehended by officers from Kitale police station during a targeted security operation launched following reports of escalating violence and criminal activities.

The 25 suspects are currently being held in police custody as officers complete investigations and processing ahead of their arraignment in court.

Police said the arrests form part of sustained intelligence led and ,multi agency operations aimed at identifying and disrupting criminal groups operating in different parts of the country.

"Law enforcement officers from Kitale police station have apprehended 25 individuals suspected of being part of a notorious criminal gang responsible for a series of attacks on residents in Kitale's premium area and its surrounding areas." the statement said.
