The Bannerghatta police on Saturday arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly murdering his 70-year-old grandmother after months of disputes over his unemployment.
The accused, identified as Prajwal, a resident of K.S. Layout, killed his grandmother, Gowramma, at her house in Kenchagoravayyanadoddi near Bannerghatta, where he had been staying to look after her, as her husband was away on work.
According to investigators, Gowramma had repeatedly urged Prajwal, a college dropout, to find a stable job. The police said the discussions frequently turned into arguments.
